GILAB D.O.O., operator of DailyMeteo, is the data controller for the personal data described here. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
01 · Collection
What we collect
- Account data — the email address you register with, your password in hashed form, and your subscription and credit balance.
- Usage data — the queries you run and the credits they consume, so that usage can be metered and billed.
- API keys — issued to your account and tied to the requests made with them.
- Technical data — server logs containing IP address and request metadata, retained for security and abuse prevention.
We do not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking on this site.
02 · Cookies
The cookies we set
DailyMeteo sets three cookies, all strictly necessary to keep you signed in. None are used for tracking or profiling, which is why the site shows no consent banner.
dm_access— short-lived access token for authenticating your requests.dm_refresh— refresh token used to renew your session without asking you to sign in again.dm_exp— session expiry timestamp, so the interface can warn you before you are signed out.
Signing out clears all three.
03 · Purpose
Why we process it
- To provide the service and keep you signed in — performance of our contract with you.
- To meter credits and process payments — performance of our contract, and compliance with accounting obligations.
- To send transactional email such as verification, password resets, and notification that a polygon or bulk job is ready — performance of our contract.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — our legitimate interest.
04 · Third parties
Who else is involved
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — when you click a location, the coordinates are sent to Nominatim to resolve a place name. Your account identity is not sent with it.
- Map tile and basemap providers — requests for map imagery are proxied through our servers.
- Payment and email providers — used to process subscriptions and deliver transactional mail.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
05 · Retention
How long we keep it
Account and usage data are kept for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. You can close your account from the account dashboard.
06 · Your rights
What you can ask for
If you are in the EU or EEA, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, get in touch through our contact page.
